This manual aims to guide you to use the AmidLearning platform in a simple and practical way through important steps. This manual enables you to teach or study a class through the internet. The first step is to sign in as an AmidLearning user. You must fill out an enrollment form and send it to the platform administrator. After having analyzed your enrollment form, the Administrative Commission will send you a notification with auser name and password. You might be asked to send more information about yourself. If you are enrolling as a student, once all enrollment requirements are met, your name and your information will be registered in the AmidLearning Database. Thereafter, you’ll be able to choose a complete course or one of the classes that are being offered. Even if you are choosing a complete course, you will not be automatically enrolled in all subjects. Your teachers will be responsible for signing you up in the subjects that you request. You can only take one subject at a time. If you are registering to teach through this platform, you will receive an authorization for usage in two different levels: coordinator or teacher. Coordinator has a position to “build courses”, that is, has the responsibility to build the class to be taught. It is the person responsible for thinking of the “educational philosophy” that will be used when putting the course objective together. If the coordinator follows the instructions suggested by the AmidLearning creators, he/she will be following an educational philosophy pre-determined by the plataform. However you may choose to do things different if you wish. The coordinator is the one who adds all contents and prepares all evaluation tests for that subject. The coordinator has the right to, in any moment, edit the course, enroll new students in the classes that he/she is teaching, and include and give access to other teachers to teach his/her subjects. The coordinator is not authorized to register other coordinators. The teacher is not authorized to create new courses, but may freely edit the course that he/she is teaching. In order to continue this tour through the Amidlearing platform, click on the desired subjects on the left side menu.
